Kris Canfield, MD

General Surgery

Kris grew up in Wichita, Kansas.  After attending Trinity International University and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Illinois where he obtained a B.A. in Biology and a Masters(M.Div).  Dr. Canfield obtained his degree in Medicine from the University of Kansas--School of Medicine.  His general surgery training was done at Michigan State University in Grand Rapids.  He graduated in 2004 and worked in Kansas and Oklahoma until 2010.  He has been practicing Surgery here in Gillette since that time.  He is involved in medical missions, traveling yearly to Cameroon in West Central Africa to assist with resident training.  He enjoys hiking, fishing, and travel with his wife and children.  Kris is a board certified general surgeon and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

Grace Wang, MD

Obstetrics & Gynecology

Dr. Grace Wang received her Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Northwestern University. She then graduated from Universality of Illinois College of Medicine with a Doctorate of Medicine and completed her post graduate medical residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at Spectrum Health in Grand Rapids, MI where she was awarded Outstanding Resident Laparoendoscopic Surgeon recognition during her Chief Resident year. Wang is Gillette’s newest Board Certified Ob/Gyn. She left a bustling private practice in west suburban Chicago in June 2015 to join Dr. David Beck at Women’s Healthcare, PC in July 2015. She brings with her invaluable experience in hysteroscopy procedures, including the novasure endometrial ablation and laparoscopic procedures including total laparoscopic and supracervical hysterectomies. Additionally, she specializes in minimally invasive surgery with specialized training in the daVinci Robot System. Wang and her husband desired a better quality of life for their family and found that in Gillette.  

David Beck, MD

Obstetrics & Gynecology

Dr. David Beck is an American Board Certified Obstetrician/Gynecologist serving Gillette and Campbell County for over 21 years. Beck graduated from Rush Medical College in Chicago, IL in 1989. He completed his Obstetrics/Gynecology internship at University of Southern California/Los Angeles County Women’s Hospital and completed his residency in Obstetrics/Gynecology at Rush Presbyterian St. Luke’s Hospital in Chicago. Dr. Beck specializes in minimally invasive surgery (i.e. outpatient laparoscopic surgery/ hysterectomy and hysteroscopy). He is a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics/Gynecology and receives top ratings for accurate diagnosis and superior bed side manor from patient review sites including Vitals.com. He has also been recognized for excellence in Obstetrics/Gynecology with the Parents Choice Award, Compassionate Doctor Award, and Top Doctors Award. 

Mark Murphy, MD

Orthopedics

Dr. Mark Murphy obtained his doctorate from the Brown University Program in Medicine as an Outstanding Graduate. During his medical studies, he was recognized for excellence in his field by the U.S. Army and honored with the U.S. Army Health Professions Scholarship to attend the U.S. Army Flight Surgeon Primary Couse of Fort Rucker, Alabama. He went on to complete his residency at Stanford University Medical Center of Palo Alto and the Letterman Army Medical Center of San Francisco. Murphy went on to receive specialized training in joint replacement and sports medicine at the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopedic Clinic in Los Angeles, California and gain board certification from the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. He served as Chief of Surgery to the Memorial Hospital of Converse County Douglas, Wyoming from 2005 - 2009 and is now the Lead Orthopedic Surgeon and Chief Executive Officer of Thunder Basin Orthopedics & Sports Medicine in Gillette, Wyoming.

Raoul Joubran, MD

Gastroenterology & Nutrition

Dr. Raoul Joubran attained a double major in Biology and Psychology from UCLA prior to attending Medical School at the Wright State University of Dayton Ohio . He continued his studies in Indiana and Kentucky where he received specialized training in Interventional Pancreatic and Biliary Diseases. He is associated with Wyoming Medical Center and the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. Joubran actively supports efficient, cost-effective healthcare and known for his willingness to work directly with insurance companies on behalf of his patients to provide quality health care. Joubran has 17 years of experience in Digestive Health and was recently the recipient of the On-Time Doctor Award. He has 3 children, speaks 4 languages and enjoys travel. 

Rodney C. Biggs, MD, FACS

General surgery

Dr. Biggs grew up in Casper, WY. He graduated from Natrona County High School in 1992. Dr. Biggs received his bachelor's degree from the University of Wyoming, majoring in Zoology and Physiology, minoring in Chemistry, and graduating with Honors in 1996. He received his medical degree from Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska in May 2000. His general surgery training was spent at Michigan State University/Grand Rapids Medical Education and Research Center in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He graduated in 2005 and moved back to Wyoming. He is married to Dr. Angela Biggs and they have four children; Zoe, Sophia, Michael and John. Dr. Biggs is a board certified general surgeon and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

Tom Davis, MD

Otolaryngology & Sleep Medicine

Dr. Tom Davis grew up in Wyoming and graduated from East Cheyenne High School.  He earned his medical degree from Creighton University Medical School in Omaha, Nebraska, and completed his internship at the Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington.  Dr. Davis then went on to complete his residency in a joint program at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center and Bethesda Naval Hospital in Bethesda, Maryland.  He is happy to be back in his home state of Wyoming, where he is board-certified in Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, as well as Sleep Medicine.  As the only physician in the state of Wyoming to have both board certifications, we’re privileged to have him as a provider here at The Center for Surgical Excellence of Gillette

Jeffery Fowler, MD

Anesthesiology & Pain Management

Dr. Jeffery Fowler is a Board Certified Anesthesiologist specializing in Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine Anesthesiology. Fowler attained his Bachelor of Integrated Studies suma cum laude from Weber State University before obtaining his Doctorate in Medicine from the University of Utah School of Medicine. He completed his Internship with Carillion Roanoke Memorial Hospital and his Residency at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. Fowler has advanced training in Spinal and Skeletal Pain Medicine and treats chronic back, neck and facet joint pain, sciatic disc displacement, sciatica and spinal stenosis with injection, stimulation and blockage treatments. He is associated with the American Academy of Pain Medicine and the American Board of Anesthesiology and works with several established institutions including Mountain View Regional Hospital, Casper Surgical Center, Sweetwater Surgery Center and Sterling Surgical Center. He receives high patient ratings from healthgrades.com where he is honored as an Honor Role Award-Winner. He dislikes musicals but enjoys economics, fishing, soccer and traveling with his wife and 4 children. 

Todd Hammond, MD

Anesthesiology & pain Management

Dr. Todd Hammond obtained his Doctorate from the Creighton University School of Medicine in Nebraska and completed his Residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center before returning to his home State of Wyoming to practice as an experienced Anesthesiologist specializing in Pain Management. Board Certified in Anesthesiology, Hammond serves as Wyoming’s only Diplomate of the American Board of Pain Medicine. He is a member of The American Board of Anesthesiology and International Spine Intervention Society and has received extensive advanced training in Pain Management. He is the leading provider in the State of Wyoming and specializes in diagnosis and treatment of spine, neck, joint and complex regional pain syndromes and neuropathic pain. Hammond is known for his compassionate nature and ability to guide patient participation to ensure successful outcomes. He supports Casper Youth Hockey and the Boys & Girls Club of Central Wyoming. He enjoys skiing, fly-fishing, tournament golfing and spending time with his children.

Mariah Blake, Administrator

Mariah joined the CFSE team as an RN in 2011. She has been the Administrator for the past 4 years. She obtained her Bachelors of Science in Nursing and is CNOR certified.
